A tornado and severe storms caused considerable damage to two Union Planters Bank (NYSE:UPC) offices and resulted in temporary closing of other offices in the Jackson, Tenn., area. The offices located at 118 North Liberty Street in downtown Jackson and 605 West Church Street in Lexington, Tenn., suffered considerable damage and will be closed until damages are assessed, repairs are completed and the sites are safe to occupy.
