KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Red Sox have opted to hold off on calling up Robert Person from his rehabilitation assignment at Triple-A Pawtucket after deciding that the right-hander needs more time to work on his command before being brought in to stabilize a listing bullpen.
Person allowed a run on a hit, two walks and a wild pitch on Sunday against Norfolk at McCoy Stadium, forcing the organization to give a second thought to the tentative plan to have him accompany the Sox on their current road trip.
