DOR BioPharma, Inc. (AMEX:DOR) ("DOR" or the "Company") announced today that it has signed an exclusive worldwide license agreement with Thomas Jefferson University (Jefferson) for an intellectual property portfolio relating to development of vaccines to combat intoxication by botulinum toxin, a potent neurotoxin that poses a significant threat as a bioterrorism weapon. More than $2.1 million of grant support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has been invested in developing these vaccine candidates and related work on the mechanisms of botulinum toxin.
