   With her busking cloche 
   velvet dress and army boots ... 
   her Salem air of ashes ... 
   she clears a space in Harvard Square 
   to play the musical glasses. 
 
   Threaded by a spindle 
   each rim larger than the last 
   beneath her wetted fingers 
   the bowls begin to sing 
   of Fanueil Hall and tea-leaves
