The Great Lakes country is a photographer's paradise and Mackinac Island is one of its special gems. There is something for everyone on Mackinac (pronounced Mack-i-naw) Island, and there are subjects waiting for every kind of photographer. The island, rich in nature, history, and recreation, sits at the Straits of Mackinac where Lake Michigan joins Lake Huron. From nearly everywhere there is a glorious view of the Mackinac Bridge that connects the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan.
