Islington's famous 'glass house' is for sale. Anthea Masey finds out from the present owners what it is like to live in an ultramodern space
BEFORE their Islington glass house was unveiled in 1994, architects Jan Kaplicky and Amanda Levete were virtually unknown outside architectural circles. The north London house was one of the husband-and-wife team's first major commissions but it caught the public's imagination and helped brand their company, Future Systems, as one of Britain's most innovative architectural practices.
