Two airlines will add service in the Twin Cities in July, which will create more choices for consumers and increase competition for Eagan-based Northwest Airlines.
Delta Connection announced Tuesday that it will begin twice-daily nonstop jet service between Dallas-Fort Worth and the Twin Cities. Meanwhile, AirTran Airways has decided to add a daily flight between the Twin Cities and Atlanta.
Bill Wren, a Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) spokesman, said airlines are positioning themselves for an upturn in the air travel industry.
