The new Zippo MPL multipurpose lighter was the star of the 99th-annual Canadian Hardware and Building Materials Show held in February at the National Trade Centre in Toronto.
The Zippo MPL beat out more than 400 entries to earn the prestigious Best of Show award, the first product to be unanimously chosen by the judges, and also beat out hundreds more products to win the Innovative New Product/Hardware category award as well.
"Zippo has truly reinvented themselves the right way. They have provided a high-quality lighter that not only meets its function but also provides much more,' said Ken Cummings, professor at Humber College School of Design.
