* Leprino Foods Co. announced March 25 it will close its mozzarella cheese plants in Hartington and Dodge, Neb., due to a dwindling milk supply in eastern Nebraska and the need to capitalize on expanded capacities at its other facilities. Denver-based Leprino, which recently opened in Leemore, Calif., what it says will ultimately become the world's largest mozzarella plant, expects to continue production at the Nebraska locations through May.
