More than one in five charities currently works collaboratively, while five per cent, some 9,000 charities, exist as a result of merger, according to a Charity Commission report to be published tomorrow. The report, which examines the whole spectrum of joint working, concludes that charities are increasingly alert to the benefits these partnerships can bring although there is room for more to be done.
