NASSAU, Bahamas -- NASSAU, Bahamas, May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Visitors to the multiple island destination cited proximity, sunny skies, unspoiled beaches and friendly Bahamians as leading reasons for vacationing in The Islands Of The Bahamas. These are the findings of the recent "Bahamas Travel Monitor" commissioned by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. The survey sampled opinions of Bahamas vacationers and was conducted as visitors departed three main airports in The Bahamas April 5 - 11, 2003 during the war in Iraq. Nine out of ten respondents were from the U.S.
