WASHINGTON -- WASHINGTON, May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Committee for Justice (CFJ), a group supporting constitutionalist judicial nominees, today thanked Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) for proposing bipartisan reform of the Senate's filibuster rule as it pertains to judicial nominees. The bi-partisan proposal is co-sponsored by Sen. Zell Miller (D-GA).
"While the filibuster is helpful for extending legislative debate and protecting minority rights, it was never intended to allow permanent obstruction of qualified judicial nominees," CFJ Chairman C.
