The Shaw Group's engineering and construction subsidiary Stone & Webster (S&W) says it has acquired petrochemical technology firm Badger Technologies (Cambridge, MA) from the Washington Group for $17.7-million in cash and the assumption of certain unspecified liabilities. Badger Technologies was previously part of Raytheon Engineers & Constructors, which Washington acquired from Raytheon in 2000.
S&W also announced that it has reamed up with ExxonMobil Chemical to form Badger Licensing, a 50-50 joint venture to market, license, and develop "new and improved" technologies exclusively for ethylbenzene (EB), cumene, and their respective derivatives. The jv also ...
