Madison, IL (Sports Network) - Scott Riggs passed a stalled Mike Bliss on the final lap to capture the Charter Pipeline 250 Busch Series race. Bliss ran out of gas on the back straight, finishing 12th, while Riggs beat David Green to the checkered flag by 0.543 seconds
The victory was Riggs' first of the season and third of his Busch career.
"I was definitely lucky, those guys usually get pretty good gas mileage," Riggs said. "They kept telling me to save gas, save gas. The No.20 definitely had the fastest car today."
