game to draw disabled
Little Leaguers from afar
More than 1,200 young, disabled athletes from across the nation will play ball this weekend at the 10th annual Challenger Little League Tournament.
Sen. George Allen, Mayor Paul D. Fraim and other dignitaries have been invited to help start the event at 9 a.m. today at the Azalea Little League Complex.
The Challenger division of Little League Baseball was organized about 14 years ago with the help of former Sen. Robert Dole.
The athletes, ages 5 to 18, may bat off a tee and others may have `buddies' who help throw, catch and push them in ...
