Russia negotiating on return of spent nuclear fuel with Iran
MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Russia's Atomic Energy Ministry and the TVEL fuel providing company are negotiating with Iran on the return of Russian spent nuclear fuel from the Bushehr nuclear power plant, which is currently under construction.
"The talks are expected to produce appropriate agreements," TVEL President Alexander Nyago told the press in Moscow on Tuesday.
He said the Russian government later this year is expected to issue rules regulating the return of Russian spent nuclear fuel. He also said his corporation had not signed any contracts to re-import this fuel from foreign ...
