INTRODUCTION
In recent years, the relationship between buyers and suppliers has received considerable attention. Due to the globalization of markets, corporate restructuring, and increased focus on costs, quality flexibility and technology, an expanded role for procurement has emerged (Burt, Dobler, and Starling 2003). Traditionally, purchasing was considered a clerical function, where the relationship between suppliers and buyers tended to be adversarial.
