ABBOTT PARK, Ill. -- ABBOTT PARK, Ill., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to inspire interest and aptitude in science and mathematics, the Abbott Laboratories chapter of Sigma Xi and The Scientific Research Society, has named three Lake County science educators "Outstanding Teachers of the Year." The honorees were recently recognized at Sigma Xi's annual banquet.
Honored for their contributions to mathematics and science in the classroom, this year's "Outstanding Teacher of the Year" awards were given to: Jeff Carlson of Libertyville, Ill., a first-year math teacher at Woodland Middle School in Gurnee, Ill.; Sandy Borries of Antioch, Ill., a math teacher at ...
