HOWEY -- IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Northern Kentucky University women's golfer Kim Keyer-Scott shot a 1-over-par 74 Wednesday and is in first place after the opening round of the NCAA Division II national championships.
Keyer-Scott, a sophomore who qualified for the national finals as an individual, finished the first round atop the leader board at the par-73 El Campeon Golf Course. She enters the second round of the 72-hole competition with a two-stroke lead over Emily Russell (76) from the University of Northern Colorado.
