BEIJING, May 16 Asia Pulse - China will grow 4.865 million hectares under cotton this year, 16 per cent more than in 2002, according to a survey over more than 70,000 farm households in more than 800 counties across the country conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics.
The survey is focused on what they are going to plant this year.
The survey shows that the cotton growing area is expected to increase in various major cotton growing provinces and areas this year.
