MONTEREY, Calif. (NNS) -- Defeating terrorism is the focus of a unique new master's degree program at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, Calif.
On Jan. 6, NPS launched the nation's first curriculum in homeland defense and security, enrolling 14 students who already serve in significant homeland security-related positions.
The need for this program was identified by its two sponsors, the Department of Justice's Office for Domestic Preparedness and the U.S. Navy.
