Article: Machinist Union On Strike At Lockheed Martin Fort Worth Facility.

After turning down a contract offer from Lockheed Martin on Sunday, about 4,000 machinist union employees struck the company's Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth, Texas, where the company assembles the F-16 fighter and sections of the F/A-22 fighter for the Air Force and F-2 fighter for Japan.

As of yesterday no new talks between the company and the union were scheduled, company spokesman Joe Stout told Defense Daily.

Stout said it is to early to speculate on the potential impact of the strike on the various production programs the company has at Fort Worth.
