Fitch Ratings, the international rating agency, has affirmed the ratings of Monte de Piedad y Caja General de Ahorros de Badajoz (Caja Badajoz) at Long-term 'A-' ('A minus'), Short-term 'F2', Individual 'B' and Support '4'. The Rating Outlook remains Stable.

Caja Badajoz's ratings reflect a sound franchise in its region, good profitability, excellent capital adequacy and good asset quality. They also take into account its small size and some regional concentration and the challenge to improve cost efficiency.
