2003 MAY 27 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- A series of outbreaks of human enterovirus 71 (HEV71) occurred in the Asia-Pacific region during the period from 1997 through 2002.
University of Malaysia, Sarawak, researchers provided an overview of the regional molecular epidemiology of HEV71 in the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention journal Emerging Infectious Diseases.
