WASHINGTON -- WASHINGTON, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Welcome home America! More Americans say they will eat hot dogs in their back yards this summer than anywhere else, including the ballpark -- a perennial favorite -- and at picnics, according to a new poll sponsored by the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council.

Summer is finally upon us and the home is definitely where hot dogs are enjoyed. The National Hot Dog & Sausage Council asked Americans where they were most likely to eat hot dogs this summer. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Council estimates that Americans will eat more than 7 billion hot dogs.
