Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom met today (26 May) with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher on the Greek Island of Crete. Following their meeting, Shalom stated that the recent acceptance by the Israeli government of the Roadmap was a difficult decision to make, and that now the time has come to begin its implementation. In order to do so, the Palestinians must immediately begin to fight terrorism and halt incitement.
