The US car parts maker Dana is transferring its units from other countries to Brazil, and until 2004, the plants based in the country will export more than US$40mil per year. It will represent a boom of 61% in the parts exports, which were of US$65mil in 2002. The Diadema-based plant (Sao Paulo) is starting to produce petroleum pumps and pumps to hydraulic steering systems that used to be produce in England. The transfer might generate businesses of US$20mil per year. Besides that, further two plants, from the US and from Europe, will be brought to Gravatai (Rio Grande do Sul), through investments of US$2mil. ...
