ATLANTA -- ATLANTA, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael E. Smidt, former regional president for Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., has been named regional president for Barton Protective Services. With 13,000 employees worldwide, Barton is the fifth largest security company in the United States.
As regional president of the southwestern United States, Smidt will help grow Barton's existing presence in Southern California, with an initial focus on the greater Los Angeles area, San Diego and Palm Desert, as well as expansion efforts throughout the Southwest. He will join Barton in June.
