OSLO, Norway--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 2003

General Electric has received a contract of US$17.9 million to supply hydro turbines, generators, and additional equipment and services for the Yamula Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant in the Kayseri Province of central Turkey.

When it enters service in mid-2005, the new hydro plant will produce 100 megawatts of power at full load.

The owner and operator of the Yamula facility will be Kayseri Elektrik Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret of Ankara, Turkey, owned by Ayen Energy which operates the 9.6-megawatt Kisik and 84-megawatt Camlica hydro power stations in Turkey.
