Article: The fast & the wireless: Intel's Centrino architecture fuses great performance, outstanding battery life, and integrated wireless connectivity. (Pentium M Notebooks).(Product/Service Evaluation)

Rather than simply raising the clock speed, Intel has figuratively turned back the clock in its initial batch of Pentium M processors, which debuted at speeds of 1.3GHz, 1.4GHz, 1.5GHz, and 1.6GHz. Despite the clock-speed reverse, notebooks based on the new chips are portable powerhouses, capable of a 7-hour battery life and performance that is, on average, 20 percent better than "faster" Pentium 4-M notebooks. What more could you ask for?
