Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), the Spanish banking group, has decided to restructure its health business in Argentina. Euromedica, its pre-paid health services company, which ranks 7th among the biggest companies in the sector in the country, with 600,000 customers, has been transferred to Consolidar, a subsidiary of BBVA. The group wants to take advantage of Consolidar's commercial network to sell insurance plans to complement services the company already provides, such as retirement plans and life insurance.
