Unicom tries to register 'Xiaolingtong' as a brand name
Shanghai. May 30. INTERFAX-CHINA - Xiaolingtong has become a well-know name for the wireless local loop service, or PHS (personal handy-phone system) service, in China, but it has never been officially recognized as a telecom service name. As a result, many telecom operators use Xiaolingtong or XXX Lingtong as their service brand for wireless local loop packages. Some operators are even seeking to register Xiaolingtong as a commercial brand name.
