According to Al-Hayat newspaper (May 29, 2003), the opening ceremony of three new factories established in Abu Dhabi Industrial City by the Abu Dhabi National Company for Industrial Projects was held yesterday (May 28). The total costs of the three new projects reached more than 250 million Emirati dirhams ($68 million). The first project, Abu Dhabi Carpets Factory, will produce 3,000 tons of carpet threads and 6.5 million square meters of carpets.
