Diamond mining giant Debswana says it will go ahead with plans to build a five-star casino hotel in the Chobe National Park but the project faces stiff opposition. Roderick Mukumbira reports from Gaborone.
Debswana's $31.75m, 100-room, five star hotel project; the most ambitious undertaking of its kind in Botswana will go ahead despite increasingly vocal opposition from the owners of existing hotels and lodges and some environmentalists.
