ARSONISTS caused more than pounds 250,000 worth of damage at a countryside visitor centre in North Wales yesterday.
Determined vandals torched a picnic bench and hurled wooden planks through the roof of Wepre Park visitor centre,in Connah's Quay,early yesterday morning.
Flintshire's countryside manager John Richards condemned the attack and described the blaze as ``devastating'' for the whole community.
Art projects and environmental work by youngsters who visit the centre were destroyed either by the fire or water.
Files and records have been damaged,along with a monitor set up to film a local badger sett.
