The funeral for J. Casey Pohl, 20, will begin at 9:45 a.m. today, at the Smith Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and proceed to Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness, where a Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Born April 25, 1983, in Arlington Heights, he died Friday, May 30, 2003, after a valiant battle with cancer, at home surrounded by his family. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, 1185 Algonquin Road, Palatine. Casey was a 2001 graduate of William Fremd High School, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team that finished fourth in the 2000 ISHA state tournament. His ...
