FORT WORTH, Texas _ With an Indianapolis 500 victory and two CART championships to his credit, Gil de Ferran is running out of tangible goals in his U.S. open-wheel racing career.
"Somebody asked me that, `What is left to accomplish as a race-car driver?' " de Ferran said after his victory in the 87th Indy 500. "I said, `All I have to do now is beat Michael Schumacher.' "
