Jun. 5--UnumProvident Corp. is launching its biggest advertising campaign in years in the wake of months of publicity ranging from lawsuits over its claims handling to the ouster of its chief executive.
The Chattanooga-based disability insurer is spending more than $2 million in television, print, radio and billboards in at least 30 key markets nationally, said Keith Hickerson, vice president of corporate marketing.
He said the effort is indirectly a response to what has played out in the media over the past six to eight months.
