Jun. 4--Two state agencies said Tuesday that they have filed suit against Cars 4 Causes, an Oxnard-based nonprofit organization that raises money for more than 200 charities by accepting and then selling or auctioning donated cars, motorcycles, boats and RVs.
The California attorney general's office and the California Department of Motor Vehicles have accused Cars 4 Causes of submitting false documentation to the DMV, selling vehicles that don't meet safety and smog requirements and failing to transfer titles in a timely manner after the sales were made. ...
