2003 JUN 9 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- A new study shows that many patients reported not getting adequate relief when they used the most widely used treatment methods, oral antihistamines, to treat allergy symptoms.
In the study, many of these patients reported symptom relief within 30 minutes after using a nasal antihistamine.
The study, published in Today's Therapeutic Trends, reports that the use of the antihistamine nasal spray, Astelin (azelastine hydrochloride) Nasal Spray, 137 mcg, may result in rapid relief of symptoms caused by allergies, regardless of the type of allergy, as well as the allergy-like symptoms caused by nonallergic triggers ...
