Worldwide digital still camera sales once again demonstrated strong growth in 2002, increasing by 50 percent, to a projected 27.5 million units, according to the "Photo Imaging Markets Worldwide" chapter of the 2001-2002 PMA Industry Trends Report--International Markets, available from PMA Business Resources at www.pmai.org.
The 27.5 million digital cameras sold accounted for 30 percent of the total 90.5 million still cameras sold worldwide in 2002.
