Whether you've been using your boat daily, weekly or only occasionally, you should give it a little TLC at midseason. Fall lay-up and spring commissioning are the times when the most thorough maintenance should be performed, but many of the same checks and adjustments that you make then should be repeated now. In general, this involves simply eyeballing your various systems and making sure that all are shipshape. Breakdowns are usually the result of incremental problems that can be spotted well before they cause any downtime.
