After casting a line into a peaceful Montana stream several years ago, Cheryl Blau became hooked on a sport once dominated by men.
"Fly-fishing is one of the sports that women are coming to," she said. "You don't have to be athletic and it's more than just fishing. Sometime I just sit in the stream and it can be so gorgeous," Blau said.
The Fort Thomas resident today is co-teaching an eight-hour class called "the Fishing Diva's Introduction to Fly Fishing." The class for women covers the basics of the sport.
