THE market for sustainable design hasn't taken off yet, but it will. There are many reasons why, but here are a few of the big ones. All ecological systems, from forests to seas, are in decline worldwide. These systems are our ultimate 'supplier' -- for materials, energy, waste management and more. Social systems are also in decline, with huge disparities in wealth, crises in health and education and decimation of local communities across the globe. These are our customers.
