Let bygones be bygones and the Chicks be Chicks, was the popular sentiment among fans at the first of two sold-out Dixie Chicks concerts Friday night in St. Paul.
The country music trio, which will perform again tonight at the Xcel Energy Center, raised a storm of protest this spring with a prewar comment that they were ashamed of the president.
On Friday, the Chicks mostly raised only hemlines, hairdos and excitement among the hordes of young urban cowgirls who attended.
"I'm not antiwar, but I support the Chicks all the way," said Liz Sakry, 24, of St. Cloud.
