The future of El Paso, the largest natural gas pipeline operator in the US, hinges on one color: white or blue.
El Paso is involved in a fight with shareholders Selim Zilkha and Oscar Wyatt. Upset with El Paso's business strategy and the decline of the share price, the Zilkha/Wyatt-led group wants to take control of the El Paso board and replace the entire slate of directors.
El Paso's fate will be decided at its Jun. 17 annual meeting. In the weeks leading up to the meeting, current El Paso executives and the Zilkha/Wyatt team have been urging shareholders to vote their way.
