Jun. 8--WILKES-BARRE, Pa.--Junior department stores. Quality restaurants. A grocery, dollar/variety stores and home furnishings.

The retail vision urban planners have created for a revitalized downtown Wilkes-Barre calls for a concentrated "retail spine" of restaurants, shops and pedestrian activities along North and South Main streets.

Public Square and Market Street would be tied to that spine.
