Jun. 10--A cease-fire has been declared in the metropolitan area Chamber War.
In an unusual joint statement issued Monday, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and local Johnson County chamber leaders pledged to "establish ways to work cooperatively on issues of mutual concern."
The announcement came almost a week after delegations met behind closed doors to discuss what unexpectedly had become a controversial decision by the Kansas City chamber to open a small Johnson County branch office.
