Jun. 9--JAPANESE SIZZLE: Soon Rochester will have a Japanese steak restaurant when Jenpachim opens in West Century Plaza near Whistle Binkies Old World Pub.
Charlie Zhao, a Twin Cities-based restaurateur, is owner of the new project. He says the eatery will feature cooks preparing food in front of customers, similar to the Benihana restaurants.
The 3,000-square-foot restaurant at 3160 Wellner Drive N.E., Suite 500, will employ 10 to 15 people. Zhao hopes to open in late August or early September.
