THE modern curse of would-be celebrities today seems to be that their moment in the spotlight is all too brief.
As a string of long forgotten casualties of reality TV have realised, the invitations to the best showbusiness parties can soon dry up.
Thank goodness then, for premieres of second-rate sequels. Last night's curtain-raiser for the action movie 2 Fast 2 Furious was like a survivors' meeting for the rejects of reality shows.
